ADVISORY: Microsoft Update Causes Excel Export Error on MISys

UPDATE: October 17, 2017

Microsoft has identified this as an issue with a recent Windows update, and are working to resolve it, For more information, you can view this article from Microsoft. They will provide an update in an upcoming release to resolve this issue.


On the update cycle of 10/13/2017, Microsoft released an update for Microsoft office which caused MIsys exports to fail with the following error:

This problem is currently under investigation, and are hoping for a Microsoft fix to be released. Meanwhile, if you use Misys and run into this error, please Submit a Ticket for a workaround that can be applied to your server to resolve this issue in the interim.
