Creating a Virtual Printer

  1. Press the Windows key start typing "Printers and Scanners" and hit enter.
  2. In the Printers & Scanners window, click on "Add device"
  3. After a few seconds, click the down arrow and then click on "Add maually"
  4. Click on "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings" and then click "Next"

  5. Select "FILE: (Print to File)" from the drop down beside "Use an existing port:" and then click "Next"

  6. Select "Microsoft" under Manufacturer and then "Microsoft PCL6 Class Driver" under Printers, then click "Next"
  7. The name of the printer can be anything or you can leave it as default and then click "Next"
  8. Select "Do not share this printer" then click "Next"

  9. Click on "Finish"
  10. Confirm that "Let Windows manage my default printer" is turned off and then click on the virtual printer you just created.
  11. Click on "Set as defaullt"
