Sage 100 Windx Client connection

Sage 100 Error : WindX Client connection : Unable to connect to the server, The application server is reachable but is not acceptig requests on TCP Socket given

Issue

When you try to login to sage client, you recieve an error message

Windx Client Connection: The application server Is reachable but is not accepting requests on TCP socket given OR

Unable to connect to server. The server is reachable but is not accepting request on TCP/IP socket given. Most likely the application server is not running on the server"

Other observations

You can start the Sage 100 service, however when you look for the port number in task manager or using the command netstat -an | findstr PORTNUMBER it doesn't list anything
And  when you run the Sage 100 Application server configuration, you get an error
Error#11 : Record not found or Duplicate Key on Write
Error occured processing:
PERFORM "config:SessionFolderDispaly"

Resolution

  1. Stop Sage 100 service
  2. Close Application Server configuration if its opened
  3. Rename the file "\MAS90\Home\Lib\_appserv\locate.pvk"
  4. Rename the file "\MAS90\Home\Lib\_appserv\sessions.pvk"
  5. Launch "Sage 100 Application Server configuration"
  6. Launch "Sage 100 Application Server startup"
  7. Login to Sage
  8. Check under "\MAS90\Home\Lib\_appserv\" to see if the new locate.pvk and session.pvk files are created
  9. Now logout of Sage 100, and click stop in "Sage 100 Application Server configuration"
  10. Start Sage 100 service
Other variables that can cause sage 100 service not work are:
  1. Networks issues.
  2. Windows Firewall.
  3. Network Firewall.
