The Report Designer Component is required by this report and is not installed on this workstation
Problem
When you try to run the Report Manager from Sage Intelligence reporting module in SAGE you get an error "The Report Designer Component is required by this report and is not installed on this workstation"
Why Is This Happening?
Report manager is based on MS Excel, so MS Excel needs to be opened before you can run the Report manager for the first time, to allow all the add-ins to be loaded.
Sometimes, the user profile has an inconsistency and causes the add-ins to malfunction.
How To Fix It?
Launch MS Excel on your computer before opening the sage application.
This will force MS Excel to load the Sage Intelligence add-ins thereby allowing Sage 100 to launch the Report designer.
If the above does not resolve the issue, please open a support ticket, and request to clear your Windows profile.
