Treasury Software - The program could not open the file containing your data

Problem Description

When you launch the Treasury software (SQL-based), you receive the following error:

This is followed by a second message.
Quote
The system was unable to open  your SQL server account 'sample.'


Resolution:

Follow the steps below

1. Click "Back to welcome" at the bottom left corner.
2. Click HELP --> Reset SQL to Desktop --> Yes.
3. Type DESKTOP then click OK twice.

 
4. Close the Treasury software and launch it again.
5. Click Settings --> Migrate to SQL.


6. Click Next, leave the check mark under "Auto search for available servers."
7. Click the drop-down to select the server and click next. If it doesn't find the server, then place the check mark on "Check if SQL Express."
8. Click  SQL Server authentication and enter the credentials provided by gotomyerp then click "Test Login ID"
9. Click OK and then click Next.


10. Click on OK, then Finish. After this, close the Treasury application.
11. Launch the Treasury application again. If you get prompted for activation, click OK.
12. Click on File --> New Account.
13. Click on "ADD an EXISTING account to your catalog." Then click next.



14. Enter the same credentials that were entered above in step 8.
15. Select the Accounts from the list (You can select multiple) then click next.
16. Click on Home --> Enter License Codes.
17. Click on "Can't find license information." This will open a NotePad containing the License ID and the License password.
18. Copy the License ID from Notepad and enter it in the license ID field. Do the same for the License password. After this, enter your email and click on "Click to register."


19. Wait for a few minutes, you will get a message "The system was unable to connect to the internet." click OK twice.
20. A webpage will open "Authentication code request". On that webpage, click on Submit.
21. A code will be sent to your email in about 5 minutes. Once you have the code, click on the "Authentication code" tab. Check your spam folder if you don't receive it.
22. Enter the code and click on "Authenticate." Then click on OK and Close.
